'Comeback' FT Island "Our Music Like Rainbow Color" (interview)
It has been active in Japan for one year.
FT Island back into the country. Song Seung Hyun, Lee Hong Ki, Lee Jae Jin, Choi Jong Hoon, Choi Min Hwan are five member band, FT Island. On 24th may 'Hello Hello' and a third mini album title song 'RETURN' was released.
Since they debuted four years. Relaxing their body is a little bit busy now, they began to comeback to country to visit their fans with more mature music.
Not long time ago, they conquest Japan with the first studio album 'FIVE TREASURE ISLAND', already sales of 37,000 in the first week since it released. And it to record the Oricon weekly chart, No. 1, and fourth single 'SATISFACTION' released on the day the Chapter 17,665 records, Oricon daily singles chart ranked 2.
Due to their popularity, FT Island go back to Japan next month with a single album sale and proceeds to tour. FT Island, because of the domestic activities make local fans have to waiting for them for a year. And they comeback of course make all the Primadonna feel so happy.
-After 1 year, finally you can reunited with local fans. What do you think?
▶ (Ki), one feel so good. In Japan, such as drama and strange album, even anxiety , but the first one returned my mind blindly hard. We will try our best to show fans a strong impact through the performance of FT Island.
▶ (Song Seung Hyun) is the same idea. Unlike rookie with a little more space to FT Island's unique style, good domestic activities. I hope to get done. We hope that we're done well
▶ (Choi Min Hwan) a lot of tours and albums in Japan, some inadequacies in domestic activities through this album, I had eagerly awaited return to domestic fans, I want to. I hope I have a lot of activity expected in Japan.
▶ (Lee Jae-jin), a singer with a new album coming out seems to be getting faster time. One year to face a lot of fans to show them I am sorry I can not. Thanks for being fans waited us who have to go overseas to study music, a lot of hard work as much as we want to reward the fans.
- Please tell us about your new song "Hello Hello"!
▶ (HongKi) It's full for national sentiment, for the most popular melodies becoming a rock sound than the old songs and put more abundantly. To represent a step forward from what already was a lot of effort. Unlike previous albums, more diverse and unique musical instruments were trying to express.
▶ (Song Seung Hyun) 80% of the previous album were a vocal sound. In this album, the song sounds a lot more instruments entered. The old song is concentrates on the vocal, but on this song focuses vocal instrument, align the instrument in harmony with each other.
- You are active in Japan's music industry. Japan and Korea, are there differences in activity?
▶ (Choi Min Hwan) Japanese activities were somehow the music and a lot of help. Genre, probably because of different environments than the national idea for the band will be widened further. Yet so many activities that the band felt a lot of burden on competition.
▶ (Song Seung Hyun), live a little more responsive in Japan is good fun. However, under any circumstances, pick out our own colors that is an advantage to FT Island.
▶ (Lee Hong Ki) First look, it's different. Japan, the band is better too. In Korea, it is called the idol, but in Japan it is called band. Sitting as a burden because we have a great artist. Continue to refine your skills and eventually pave the opportunity for growth.
- In Korea, the other hand, popular music, mainly in Japan, showed a lot of different colors. What is music FT Island to seek?
▶ (Song Seung Hyun) FT Island in Korea is the center of the most popular melodies. Domestic Fan favorite addictive melody or tune, which can be easily memorable songs as the title track is selected. But it is not the only appearance of FT Island. In Japan, you can find the strength exciting songs and music, sad ballads, but showed modern and offbeat ballad.

▶ (Lee Hong Ki) to start next month in Nagoya from 29th July '2011 FT Island Tours Messenger opens the concert. Finally, after turning in Fukuoka, Osaka, Tokyo, July 29th is entered in Budokan. Single album will be out. Working on an album yet released the schedule has yet to maintance.
- While in Korea, the goal is to record activity.
▶ (Ki) 'Got the 1st place' There is a determination. While many of us do not have a lot waiting to get that much power seems to be faced with.
